It has been our policy and priority to safeguard any information provided by our customers. We respect your legal rights when collecting, storing, using and transmitting your personal data, and will strictly comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the “Ordinance”). It has been our commitment to train our officers, management and other staff to practice and ensure their familiarity and compliance with the requirements of the Ordinance at all times, and to respect the confidentiality and to keep safe any and all personal data collected and/or stored and/or used for or on behalf of EPI.

“Personal data” shall have the same meaning as defined in the Ordinance.

Types of Personal Data Collected

When you make enquiries and contact us through our website, we will collect personal data from you, including your name, your contact information (including your e-mail address and telephone number), your business information (including your company name and your position within the business/company). However, we cannot ensure complete protection against unauthorized or accidental access, as security over the internet is inherently insecure. We will not collect any information from customers without notice, but any information you provide shall be provided at your own risk.

Once we obtain customer's personal information, only the authorized staff and representatives will be permitted to access to that information, but we may transfer your personal data to the following parties:
  1. employees, subsidiaries, associated companies and/or business associates whom we consider appropriate in connection with the services provided or to be provided to you;
  2. any agent, contractor or third party service provider who provides administrative, telecommunications, computer and other services to us in connection with the processing and storage of your data;

The personal data you provide may be transferred to other jurisdictions outside Hong Kong for the purposes mentioned above. We cannot ensure that personal data transferred outside Hong Kong shall be protected to the standards required under the Ordinance.

Your Right to Access and Correct Your Personal Data

You have the right to ascertain whether EPI hold any of your personal data, and of so, to obtain a copy of such personal data. You may also at any time request access to and to correct personal data relating to you in any of our records. After receiving your request, we may contact you to seek further details about yourself so that we can verify your identity before granting access to, or making the requested changes and so that we can be sure that you are the person to whom the data refers. We will endeavour to respond to your requests within a reasonable time, but in any event we shall do so within 40 days after receiving your request. We may charge a reasonable fee for processing your data request.

We will keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which the data was collected. We may also retain archived personal data for statistical purposes.

Personal data which is no longer required will be destroyed.

The provisions herein are governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of Hong Kong as amended from time to time. Disputes arising from the use of this website are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, as amended from time to time. If any provisions herein are rendered illegal, you agree that EPI may make amendments to the above terms and conditions. This statement has been translated into Chinese. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and the Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
